"Workboats"

“Workboats”

On one of our many Cape Cod trips, we finally made it to Provincetown. It was a misty, foggy summer day, and I wanted to capture the mood and atmosphere of the busy fishing port. Painting there that day was a challenge due to the many tourists and the tour boats advertising trips around the Cape area. I had a lovely day, but a lot of company while I painted.

"Williamsburg Spring"

“Williamsburg Spring”

Spring is a glorious, delightful season, especially in Williamsburg. The color and fragrance of the blossoms are a pleasure to the senses. While my husband attended an enlightening conference, I wandered around the town, and discovered this quiet garden. No one bothered me while I painted, and I had a wonderful afternoon there.
